Rightsholder complaints
Revision of September 22, 2026.
The service translates files uploaded by its own users and keeps no public library of translations: a result is visible only to the person who uploaded the book. Everyone who uploads confirms that they are entitled to have the text translated, and that confirmation is stored with the date and the IP address it came from.
If your work reached us without your permission all the same — write to us and we will take it down.
Where to write
support@skillsfor.ai, subject “Rightsholder complaint”. Complaints are handled within 24 hours of receipt.
What the complaint must contain
- Who you are: name or company name, address, and an email address for our answer.
- The work, and what makes you its rightsholder: a contract, the edition's imprint, a certificate or other grounds.
- What to take down: a link, a file name, a book title — whatever lets us find it.
- A statement that you did not permit this use.
- Consent to processing the personal data needed to handle the complaint.
- If you write on someone's behalf — evidence of your authority.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the rightsholder.
An incomplete complaint is never dismissed in silence: within a day we write back saying what is missing.
What happens next
- The book's files are deleted from the server: the uploaded text, the translation, the illustrations and the stored translated pieces.
- The book stays visible to its owner with the reason shown — a person should understand what happened instead of hunting for a disappearance.
- Downloading, reading and resuming the translation stop.
- The complainant receives an answer describing what was done.
If a book was taken down by mistake
Its owner may object by email to the same address, attaching evidence of their rights or of the rightsholder's permission. On a substantiated objection we restore access and tell both sides; files already deleted will have to be uploaded again.
Abuse
A knowingly false complaint is grounds for refusing to consider further complaints from the same party and for telling the injured side what happened.
